April Bonus Episode: Fostering Sibling Relationships
Today we’re diving into the highly requested topic of siblings. From Ashlee’s teeny tiny family to Jill’s gazillion aunts, uncles, and cousins—we kick things off by sharing about our own families of origin, and how our upbringings inspired our outlook on sibling relationships. We cover the best parts of raising brothers and sisters (constant companions!), as well as the hardest parts (namely: squabbles and the ongoing challenges of splitting your time and attention between multiple kids). Plus, Katie reminds us of the importance of the word “team” and we share a few laughs about how many “opportunities” siblings bring forth. Overall, we hope to someday gather for Sunday dinners with our grown children á la Parenthood (you, too?). In the meantime, we pray that stewarding these little souls to love and look out for one another—and letting them play together way past bedtime—will somehow get us there.
