Episode 39: What They Never Told Me To Expect

When a family learns their child has a disability, the road ahead is often filled with many questions, pain and unknowns. In this episode, Lesley chats with two very special mamas about their very special kids. Katie Blackburn (a listener favorite and our first returning guest!) is back sharing about her son’s recent autism diagnosis along with Regina Robinson, mama to four children including a son with Down Syndrome. We encourage all women to listen to this episode with a pen in hand, ready to learn how to navigate the waters of a new diagnosis, or, to simply discover how to encourage the families at your playgrounds and churches who need friends in their journey.

And, as promised, here are some photos of Lesley’s current bedroom, along with Modsy’s 3D renderings. Lesley says she especially loves the idea of moving her bed under the window. The fun thing about Modsy is that you can even edit the renderings to include some of your current furniture mixed with new items. (A great way to work with what you already have while still freshening up your space!)
